9/28-10/1

I will be away from the college on college business from Thursday 9/28
through Sunday 10/1. Although I will likely be close to email and
internet access, I can't guarantee that I will be able to quickly
respond during that time.

NATO game, again

I posted on the blog today in regards to the NATP map game. I went
ahead and added it as a link under Extra Tools and Links. You download
the .exe file and run the game on your home computer. I believe it
will only work like that on a PC and you do need to have Macromedia
Flash Player on your computer. Or you can always go the web version at

http://www.nato.int/multi/mapgame/index-e.htm

This is obviously not required but you may find it interesting when we
are studying Europe.

NATO map game

Take a look at the NATO map game at:

http://www.nato.int/multi/mapgame/index-e.htm

It has some pretty good info in a game type setting.

June 1 Update

This is normally a message I would post just in the course blog. But I
am posting it there, the discussion board and via email.

For 2.5 weeks(June 17-July5) in this course, I will be teaching this
course while I am out of the state. I will still be in email contact,
grade assignments and everything like normal. Except that I am at a
distance. I have made a promise to myself to check email and grade
things at least once every two days during this time. I hope you will
not even notice any difference between then and now.

I have given extra time for Assignment #3 (it is due the same time as
Assignment#4) as a gift to you and to myself because of this.

I just wanted you to know.

Welcome to the Course.

My name is Richard Smith and I will be your instructor. This blog is where I will post general course announcements. Please check it regularly. Major course announcements I may also post inside the course and within the Discussion Board.

Please look around the course, starting with the "Start Here / Welcome Page" and Syllabus.

Thanks and enjoy the course.
